If you want to show your love for animals, there are many different ways to support the efforts of the Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society. All contributions support our animals and are tax-deductible as allowed by law. We will kindly give you an acknowledgement upon receipt for your records.

Donate Money
You can donate online using PayPal. (Please note: You do not have to have a PayPal account to pay online with a credit card.) General donations can also be made by phone using a credit card. Monthly Giving Program
Signing up for our Monthly Giving Program is a convenient way to support BEBHS. Monthly donations can be charged to your credit card or automatically forwarded from your checking account. You will receive one tax receipt for the total amount of your annual gifts. You can begin this program at any time during the year. Please contact the Development Department at (510) 845-7735, Ext. 19.
Donate In Memory / In Honor of...
Make a tribute donation in memoriam or in honor of a family member, friend, or beloved pet.
Stock
Make a financial contribution in the form of stock to BEBHS through our securities account with Merrill Lynch. Call our Financial Advisor, Steve Smith at (707) 575-6342 for more information.
Matching Funds
Contribute through a Matching Funds program with your employer. Depending on the company, your gift can be doubled, tripled or even quadrupled! We have compiled a list of companies that may participate in a Matching Funds program, but this list is not comprehensive. Please check with your Human Resources Department to find out if your company participates in a Matching Funds program.
Include Us in Your Will
Make BEBHS a beneficiary in your will or living trust. Talk to your attorney for more information on how to name BEBHS a beneficiary or call us at (510) 845-3665.
Pet Goods
BEBHS is always in need of items to help us care for the animals in our shelter. Please view our Wish List.
Dog Beds
Thanks to the good folks at Kuranda Dog Beds, it's easy to give a deserving shelter dog the gift of a comfortable place to sleep. Please visit the Kuranda website.
Books
Donate a book and help us expand our new humane education library collection! For a list of books, please see our Amazon wish list. Some of these books may also be available at your local bookstore.
Gift Certificates
Purchase gift certificates on our behalf for office supply stores, computer supply stores, hardware stores or uniform shops.
Your Car
Get rid of an unwanted vehicle easily: donate your old truck, boat, or RV and receive a tax deduction. More info...
Your Old Computers, Laptops and PDAs
Help support our animals through your old computers, laptops, PDAs, and other electronics. Your donation will help fund our shelter through our eBay auctions. Your donation is tax deductible and 100% of the auction proceeds go to help our shelter. For more information please send an email to mslater@berkeleyhumane.org.
Your Old Cell Phone
Drop off or mail us your old cell phone. We will either sell the phone through our eBay auctions or receive money by recycling the cartridges and this helps the environment, too.
Empty Cartridges
Drop off your used Inkjet, Laser, Fax, and Copier cartridges. BEBHS receives money by recycling the cartridges and this helps the environment, too. You may also drop off the cartridges at Cartridge World (2161 Allston Way, Berkeley). Please tell Cartridge World that the cartridges are for BEBHS.
“Tiny BART Tickets”
Drop off or mail us your tiny value BART tickets. (We can cash them in!)
