Volunteer at Berkeley Humane!

Berkeley Humane has transitioned to a fully foster-based model during the construction of the new Bay Area Animal Resource Center (BAARC). This means that every life we save depends on the compassion and commitment of volunteers. From providing loving foster homes, to supporting our thrift shops, helping at adoption events, assisting in our veterinary clinic, or lending skills behind the scenes—volunteers touch every part of our work. Whatever your talents or availability, your time makes a direct impact for animals and the people who love them.

Some volunteer roles, like helping in our thrift shops, work best with a regular weekly commitment. Many other opportunities are flexible, allowing you to help when it fits your schedule. There is no minimum requirement, any time you give matters to the animals and the community we serve.
