Pet Food Pantry

Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society's Pet Food Pantry program provides free monthly pet food to low-income pet guardians in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. Economic reasons are some of the prime factors behind pet relinquishment, and the Pet Food Pantry aims to assist struggling guardians with keeping their beloved pets in their homes. Since its inception in 2010, Pet Food Pantry has distributed over 7,000 pounds of pet food.

Hours & Location

Pet Food Pantry is open on the last Saturday of every month from 11 AM - 1 PM from the warehouse at the BEBHS facility at 2700 Ninth Street in Berkeley. Due to the holidays, December 2011's Pet Food Pantry will be held on Saturday, December 17th from 11 AM - 1 PM. Prospective clients are encouraged to bring completed applications to these monthly events, and are usually able to take home their first supply of free pet food that day.
